About the job
We are seeking a professional, organized, and welcoming Front Desk Secretary to serve as the first point of contact for our firm. The ideal candidate will manage the reception area, provide essential
administrative support to our legal team, and ensure that every client's experience begins with a high level of professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relations: Greet clients and visitors warmly; manage the reception area to maintain a professional and tidy environment.
Communication Management: Efficiently handle incoming calls, take detailed messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate legal staff.
Appointment Coordination: Manage the firm's calendar, schedule consultations, and send reminders to clients and advocates.
Document Handling: Assist in receiving, sorting, and dispatching legal documents, mail, and courier packages.
Administrative Support: Help with basic filing, scanning, and photocopying of legal briefs and case files.
Payment Processing: Assist in receiving payments for consultations or services and issuing initial receipts.
Required Qualifications
Education: HND or Bachelor's degree in Secretarial Studies, Law, Public Administration, or a related field. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English (proficiency in French is a significant advantage).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.
Professionalism: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive client information.
Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Buea business landscape and judicial administrative offices is preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
A neat and professional appearance consistent with a legal environment.
